In 1915, the Fuller Brush Company, a manufacturer of household products and brushes, was reorganized as an organization with branches and these in turn supervised, trained and associated new vendors and managed regional groups. There were regional managers who were paid by the company or received an extra commission for supervision.

It is estimated that there were more than two hundred thousand people who sold door to door only in the United States by 1920. At the end of that decade some companies that are legend in the direct sales industry emerged, such as Avon Corporation, Electrolux vacuum cleaner manufacturer, and W.T Raleigh.

In the 1930s, the industry of  direct sales continued in expansion. Frank S. Beveridge, executive of Fuller Brush, founded Stanley Home Products.

Encyclopaedia Britannica was launched by Sears Roebuck and Company through the catalog subdivision, which sold it to a direct sales company specializing in knowledge-based products in 1933.

The 1940s Were Particularly Memorable For the Direct Sales Industry

In 1949, Dorita Barret de Sa started a family-run business focused on knowledge, so  she made the decision to export Encyclopaedia Británnica products to Latin America, thus creating the Barsa Encyclopedia in Portuguese and the Spanish Encyclopedia in Spanish. In this way, a direct sales organization is created with more than 5,000 vendors from Mexico to Argentina, who were pioneers in the development of more than 10 commercial channels.

The new millennium brings new technologies trying to cover the essential requirements of mankind, among them, water.

In 2015, Javier Armenta, an enthusiastic entrepreneur, founded the company Della Vita Life Water Inc along with other partners, aiming of bringing the USA’s population products that allow them to drink and use healthy water. His vision is also focused on extending these benefits to other countries, especially Latin America.
